Dear Sapphire Pointe Residents,
The Board, in consultation with the Association’s manager, attorney, insurance provider, and other business partners, has been planning for contingencies that may arise in the community as a result of the spread of COVID-19.
Based on advice that has been circulated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Tri-County Health Department, we have detailed some possible scenarios and our current plans to deal with them. These plans are subject to change based on orders from the Governor, CDC guidance and advice from our professional partners.
Common areas and amenities. The association pool and clubhouse will remain closed until at least May 27th at which time the board will re-assess based on guidance from the Governor’s office and recommendations from local authorities and business partners. We will soon be initiating start-up operations at the pool and the pool will be maintained throughout the season so that if and when we are able to open, the pool will be ready. We understand many residents are very anxious for the pool to open, however, the health and safety of all residents is our number one priority. In addition, all pool and aquatic staff are required to follow health codes and guidelines from the local health authority so before we can open we must ensure that it is safe. Future communications about the opening of the pool and clubhouse facility will be forthcoming as information becomes available.
Meetings and events. On March 25, 2020, the Governor issued a Stay at Home Public Health Order (“Order”) requiring all individuals to stay at home except for essential services and we have now entered the Safer at Home phase of the Governor’s Order. The Order prohibits all public and private gatherings of ten (10) or more people outside a single household or living unit. As a result, the Association has canceled all community events until further notice. Board meetings are temporarily being conducted virtually via Zoon. All residents are welcome to join these meetings. Log in instructions for residents is currently being sent out monthly via Eblast to all residents who have a valid email address on file with our office. If you are not currently receiving Eblast communications, please contact TMMC Property Management at email@example.com so that we can update our records with your email address.
Social distancing. The Order does allow for limited outdoor activity to include walking, hiking, biking and running as long aseachindividualcomplieswithsocialdistancingrequirements. ForthepurposesoftheOrder,socialdistancing requirementsincludethefollowing: (1)Maintainingatleasta6-footdistancebetweenotherpeople;(2)washinghands with soap and water for at least twenty seconds as frequently as possible or using hand sanitizer when hand-sinks are not available; (3) covering coughs or sneezes (into the sleeve or elbow, not hands); (4) regularly cleaning high-touch surfaces; (5) not shaking hands; and (6) wearing proper facemasks when necessary.
If you get sick
Medical authorities are strongly urging all persons who exhibit symptoms to stay home and avoid public spaces unless you need medical care. You also should separate yourself from other people and pets in your home.
If you need to need to visit a doctor or get tested for COVID-19, develop a plan before you go: - Call ahead before visiting your doctor.

The association will be prepared to make reasonable accommodations for those impacted by Covid-19 such as postponing violation deadlines or granting payment extensions if appropriate. It is still very important that residents continue to pay their monthly assessments as the association still has ongoing operating expenses to maintain. If you experience a financial hardship, please contact TMMC Property Management to request special arrangements.
This association will not and does not make any of the decisions mentioned above lightly. These actions are being taken to ensure the health and welfare of the residents of this community. We pledge to keep residents informed of all relevant developments and how they affect association operations.
It is also incumbent upon residents to take this situation seriously and do their part to minimize the spread of this deadly disease. The association highly encourages you to review safety guidelines and look for updates from the CDC, the local health department, and the World Health Organization.
Finally, the Board of Directors for Sapphire Pointe has asked that all residents be reminded to not communicate with any association vendors directly either in person, by phone or via email.
